Jim has practised criminal law for over twenty years and has in the past worked for some of the largest criminal firms in Scotland. Jim has practised in Cumbernauld for almost fifteen years and has extensive experience of appearing in criminal courts on a daily basis, offering an almost unrivalled breadth of experience in the practice of law in the local jurisdiction. Since qualifying in 1991 Jim has also defended a large number of high profile cases, throughout the whole of Scotland.
Jim has a particular interest in the application of Human Rights to the criminal court process and has attended a number of professional training courses in this field. Jim has a very active case load in the Justice of the Peace, Sheriff and High courts, dealing with a wide variety of offences, and has a reputation for obtaining excellent result for clients.
